Farmers Market
Welcome to the website for Sustainable Redland.

This website is for anyone who cares about building a positive future. Our group started in 2005, decided to get better informed, and soon realised that much of what you read and hear in the news is misleading, confusing and incomplete. The damage that we humans are causing to the earth and its ecosystems is real, serious, potentially irreversible. The idea that we can continue indefinitely with our energy intensive lifestyles is fantasy. As more people become aware of the urgency, and of the benefits to health and wellbeing if we make changes now rather than waiting for things to fall apart, then real change becomes possible. Our experience is that changes that lessen your ‘footprint’ and increase local resilience actually make life better not worse. Sustainable Redland is one of many local groups working to reduce Bristol’s environmental impact and our dependance on fossil fuels. We are linking to Transition Bristol and the Transition Network. If you want to get involved in Sustainable Redland’s activities, or if you just have a question, just come along to one of the evening talks or join our email group. We are a bunch of local residents with virtually no resources, just our own time and commitment.

Whiteladies Rd Farmers’ Market

We started this in June 2006. It is now fortnighly at the corner of Whiteladies Road and Apsley Road;

  • First Friday of the month 8.30am to 1pm, and
  • Third Saturday of the month 9am to 2pm.

Do support it, and if you can help once in a while with the tidying up at the end - or in any other way - please get in touch. More details on the Farmers’ Market page..
