Active Neighbourhood Transport Grants

Bristol City Council is currently offering a second round of grants to local groups through its Local Sustainable Transport Fund. It is aimed at projects that will get more people walking and cycling, reducing use of cars and increasing fitness and health.

Sustainable Redland held a public meeting on 6th February which discussed a number of topics, including better awareness of public transport, walking routes, local shopping, school transport and discouraging car use. As a result, we are currently putting together a grant proposal to create and distribute Redland neighbourhood maps showing the range of facilities there are within walking distance – of which more details later.

In the meantime, if any other group wishes to apply for a grant, the deadline for applications is 29th March.
