Neighbourhood Maps Project

Sustainable Redland was given a grant from the Local Sustainable Transport Fund by Bristol City Council for a one-year project to create neighbourhood maps for the Redland/Cotham area that will encourage more people to walk and cycle to local facilities instead of using their cars, and generally to support and value what is available locally.

We created the maps with the help of the local community, and distributed the printed maps door-to-door, as well as in local shops and businesses.

The following reports are available to download:

  • Project Summary [PDF, 74KB] – motivation and initial objectives for the project
  • Interim Report [PDF, 87KB] – on first publication and distribution of the map
  • Final Report [PDF, KB] – at the end of the project

The results of the project are also available in the Living Locally section on this website.
