Bristol Airport Expansion

Sunday, November 23rd, 2008

There was, yet again, a massive turnout of concerned members of the public when North Somerset Council made its decision about Bristol Airport’s proposed new walkway on Wed 12th November.  The Council had to decide whether the walkway is allowed as a permitted development without formal planning permission.  There seems little doubt that Councillors were strongly influenced by Bristol International Airport’s threat to seek a Judicial Review if the Council said no.  The walkway is one part of the Airport’s plans to expand to 10 million passenger journeys by 2016.
