Next Whiteladies Market

8.30 to 2pm on the first and third Saturdays of every month, the market is on Whiteladies Road by the junction with Apsley Road. There is a brilliant selection of produce including bread, cheese, cooked meats, cakes, fresh meat, vegetables, fruit, plants, pies, pasties, olives, chillies, and a few non-food items that have a link with cooking or shopping. You can meat the producers and find out where the produce is sourced.

Special Christmas Market

On Thursday 15 December 2pm to 8pm (candlelight) there will be a Special extra Christmas Market, selling local produce and locally made gifts. Same place as the regular Whiteladies Market (corner of Whiteladies Rd and Apsley Rd), and many of our regular stall holders will be there. The event is jointly organised by Keep Whiteladies Local and Sustainable Redland. A number of our Whiteladies Shops will be late evening opening as well, so you can get all your Christmas shopping done.

Green Capital transport debate

Following on from the Civic Society event, this debate ‘travelling to a future green capital’ is hosted by Bristol’s Green Capital Group and Transition Bristol. It is about building community engagement and activism in Bristol around the eight principles for urban transport. Definitely worth attending. Book your place using the link above. Civic society meeting

Bristol’s Civic Society is hosting an evening meeting at the Colston Hall, all about Transport in Bristol. Speakers include Peter Mann Head of Transport Bristol City Council, Robert Sinclair CE of Bristol Airport and member of the Local Enterprise Partnership, and Cllr Tim Kent. It will be packed.
