susred farmers market

Welcome to the website for Sustainable Redland, a neighbourhood Transition Initiative.

Sustainable Redland started in 2005. We are not an ‘institution’ – we have no staff and no committee.  Getting involved means joining in with whatever you can.  Our experience is that living locally and cutting your footprint makes life better not worse. We are one of many local groups working on how Bristolians will cope without cheap fossil fuels and on lessening the irreversible damage we are causing to the ecosystems on which we depend. We are part of Transition Bristol and the Transition Network.  Come along to an event, support the Farmer’s Market, send us an email or join our yahoo email group.  And if you are part of a faith group, a school, a book group of whatever – and you’d like to chat about what your group might do – just get in touch.  This seven minute You Tube clip gives you a flavour of what we are about.

Whiteladies Rd Farmers and Fair Trading Market

  • First and Third Saturdays of every month 8.30am to 2pm

Here are all the dates for 2010.  With help from Lorna who runs the ‘Love Food’ Festival we are working on plans for making the market bigger, better and well advertised – so do get in touch if you have suggestions. More details about the market are on the Whiteladies Road Market page..
