Please sign the Bristol Sustainability Charter
Thursday, March 22nd, 2007
At a major event involving people from many different institutions and groups, a sustainability charter was drawn up with the aim of proposing that this be adopted by Bristol’s leaders. You can view the charter on the website of Bristol University’s Environmental Sustainability Research Group. You can add your support by signing your name on Bristol city council’s e democracy petitions site. (There is a slight bug in the site at the moment, in that when you click on a link the page goes blank, but just click again and it apperas). Politicians both local and national may well believe that the general public are at best apathetic, and at worst highly resistant, to any changes that may be necessary to combat climate change. By adding your name to the Bristol list you will be demonstrating the real commitment that exists among so many people.
