Twenty is Plenty

Monday, August 17th, 2009

The Redland Directory has a great article by Julian Lea-Jones, explaining the local and nationwide growth in support for quiet safe residential streets.  By limiting car speeds to 20 mph in streets where people live, it means that children can play safely and neighbours are more likely to get to know each other. A consulation will be starting soon.  Please sign the epetition to let Bristol City Council know that there is support for this in Redland.  Please ask your councillor to support the campaign,  And if you could become a community champion for the campaign then contact Steve Kinsella the 20′s plenty coordinator for Bristol sjkinsella@20splentyforbristol.org.uk   Our local Redland contact is Robin Haward.
